Classic Cars, Strawberry Shortcakes, and Small-Town Charm Highlight Topsfield Community Day Saturday, June 13

Downtown Topsfield will be filled with classic automobiles, live music, strawberry shortcakes, local artisans, and family-friendly activities on Saturday, June 13, as two beloved community traditions come together for a day-long celebration.

The annual Vintage Auto Show and the 57th Annual Strawberry Festival will transform the town center into a vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors alike, offering something for every age and interest.

Vintage Auto Show Returns to Downtown

Car enthusiasts are invited to showcase their vehicles at the Vintage Auto Show, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lawn in front of the Meetinghouse on Main Street, across from the Town Common.

Sponsored by the Topsfield Meetinghouse Foundation, the informal event welcomes all makes, models, and years of automobiles. There are no entry fees, no judging, and no prizes—just an opportunity for car owners to share their vehicles with fellow enthusiasts and the public.

Organizers encourage exhibitors to arrive by 9 a.m., as portions of Main Street will be closed during the event. Access to the display area will be available via Kohlhofer Way, where volunteers will assist with parking and vehicle placement.

Each exhibitor will receive a windshield information card describing their vehicle, and complimentary hot dogs, burgers, and beverages will be provided throughout the day. Prime display space is limited to approximately 75 vehicles, so early arrival is recommended.

Those interested in exhibiting a vehicle are asked to register in advance by emailing information about their car to joe.gibbons@verizon.net.

Strawberry Festival Celebrates 57 Years

Just steps away on the picturesque Topsfield Town Common, the 57th Annual Strawberry Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Sponsored by and benefiting the Topsfield Historical Society, the festival has become one of the North Shore's most cherished summer traditions, drawing families from throughout the region for a day of entertainment, food, and community spirit.

The day begins with a flag-raising ceremony at 10 a.m., followed by performances from the Proctor School Band and local musical groups throughout the afternoon. Visitors can also tour the historic Parson Capen House, enjoy demonstrations by Colonel Bailey's Regiment featuring marching drills and musket firing, and relax to live music from Shattered Alibi and Charlie and the Hustle.

Of course, no Strawberry Festival would be complete without its signature strawberry shortcakes, which remain a highlight for many attendees year after year.

In addition to food and entertainment, visitors will find games and activities for children, as well as a wide variety of artisan vendors offering handcrafted artwork, pottery, glasswork, jewelry, clothing, woodcrafts, and specialty gifts.
